SSC Document Upload Rules.
While Staff Selection Commission (SSC) portals primarily demand JPEGs for photographs and signatures, certain post categories and selection posts require uploading supporting qualifications or experience proofs in PDF format.
The standard limit for these scanned PDF files is 500 KB. Running local browser-based compression ensures your high-resolution scanner files are reduced to this exact target size while keeping the text fully readable.

Your document never leaves your browser. Compression runs 100% client-side using browser APIs — no server uploads, no data collection, no account required.

We recommend scanning your original certificates at 200 DPI in color or grayscale. A 200 DPI scan offers an optimal balance between visual clarity and initial file size, making local compression to 500 KB fast and seamless.
